Lakshadweep Entry Permit – Updated 2026 Information

A Lakshadweep entry permit is still required for travellers who are not natives of the islands.

The tourist permit process has become simpler. Local sponsorship is no longer required and a
Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is no longer required to be uploaded for Tourist-category applications.

For our current tourist permit assistance, we generally require the traveller’s
Aadhaar card and a recent photograph. Our team will guide you through the application
process and any additional requirements applicable to your traveller category.

How to Reach Agatti

Agatti Airport (AGX) is currently the only airport in Lakshadweep.
Air connectivity is available from mainland India, including:

• Goa to Agatti: Fly91
• Bengaluru to Agatti: IndiGo and Alliance Air

Airline schedules and operating days can change, so travellers should confirm flight availability
for their travel dates before booking.

Best Time to Visit Agatti

October to May is generally the preferred travel season for Lakshadweep.
November to March is the busiest period, while weather and sea conditions can affect island
excursions and water activities at any time.

During periods of rough sea or unfavourable weather, boat excursions and activities may be
delayed, rescheduled or cancelled for safety reasons.

Alcohol Availability in Lakshadweep

The previous prohibition framework in Lakshadweep has changed in 2026. Alcohol is now available
through authorised/licensed arrangements, subject to applicable regulations and local availability.

Availability may vary by island and establishment, so travellers who specifically require access
