Agatti Island Experience

Agatti is the arrival point for this package and one of the most convenient bases for exploring Lakshadweep by air.

During the Agatti sightseeing programme, you can experience selected local attractions including the public library, ethnographic museum, South Beach, Eastern Jetty, NIOT Sea Water Desalination Plant and Lagoon Beach.

The first evening also includes an opportunity to enjoy the sunset at Lagoon Beach, subject to weather and the day’s operating schedule.

Bangaram Island Day Trip

The highlight of the second day is a private boat trip to Bangaram Island.

Bangaram is known for its bright lagoon waters, sandy beaches and peaceful island surroundings. Spend the day relaxing on the beach, enjoying the scenery and taking photographs, with optional activities available subject to local availability and sea conditions.

After completing the day’s excursion, return to Agatti by boat and spend your second night on the island.

Accommodation & Meals

The package includes accommodation for 2 nights in the selected property and room category.

Meals are provided according to the package plan, including the applicable breakfast, lunch and dinner arrangements.

Food options may include Indian and local cuisine, with seafood subject to the accommodation’s menu and daily availability.

Lakshadweep Entry Permit – Updated Information

A Lakshadweep entry permit is still required for travellers who are not natives of the islands.

The tourist permit procedure has been simplified. For Tourist-category applications, local sponsorship is no longer required and a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is no longer required to be uploaded.

For our current permit assistance, we generally collect the traveller’s Aadhaar card and a recent photograph and guide you through the application process.

Requirements may differ for foreign nationals and other traveller categories, so please contact us before booking if you are travelling on a non-Indian passport.

How to Reach Agatti

Agatti Airport (AGX) is currently the only airport in Lakshadweep.

Air connectivity is available from mainland India, including:

Flight schedules, operating days and frequencies may change, so travellers should confirm the current schedule for their travel dates before booking.

Mainland flight tickets are not included unless specifically stated in the package. Flight-inclusive arrangements may be available on request.

Best Time to Visit

October to May is generally the preferred period for visiting Lakshadweep, particularly for travellers planning island excursions and beach activities.

November to March is generally the busiest travel period, so early booking is recommended for popular dates when flight and accommodation availability may be limited.

As with all Lakshadweep travel, boat excursions and activities are subject to actual weather and sea conditions.

Alcohol Availability in Lakshadweep

The earlier prohibition framework in Lakshadweep has changed. Alcohol is now available through authorised/licensed arrangements, subject to applicable regulations and local availability.

Availability may vary by island and establishment, so travellers who specifically require access to alcohol should confirm current availability before travelling.
